🎓 Year 0–2: Training
After clearing UPSC CSE, candidates become IPS Officer Trainees. Training happens at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, including physical training, weapons training, and law enforcement skills.
🚔 Year 2–4: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP)
First field posting. Assists Superintendent of Police in maintaining law & order.
🏢 Year 4–9: Superintendent of Police (SP)
Head of district police. Responsible for crime control, investigations, and public safety.
⭐ Year 9–14: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)
Leads policing in major or sensitive districts. Handles high-level operations and security matters.
